Backed by years of expertise in both healthcare and insurance, our team can customize a risk management program tailored to your needs.
Implementing procedures to ensure compliance that meet or exceed industry standards directly impacts both your quality of care and loss control.
- On-site Walk-throughs together with the insurance carrier to provide additional support for our client.
- Incident Trending based on current incidents and accidents to ensure proper handling and reduction of potential claims.
- Risk Assessment using an RCA (root cause analysis) based approach to mitigate claims.
- Medical Records Review upon any formal request to ensure proper handling and presentation to the insurance carrier.
- De-incentivizing the plaintiff by analyzing potential flaws in their request (Arbitration Clause, Certificate of Merit, etc).
- Strategic Planning from the moment medical records are requested, we work hand in hand with the client on how to best prepare and defend a potential claim.
- Identifying Risk Transfers to potentially shift liability from our client to other possible entities involved in the claim (agency, vendor, doctor, etc.).
- Loss Prevention Procedures by proactively ensuring all staff are aware of safe handling procedures and care techniques which will lower the risk of potential losses (e.g., onboarding process review to ensure these topics are covered).
- Loss Mitigation by handling every claim directly with the carrier to ensure that all pertinent information is relayed and that there are no unnecessary/negative outcomes (excessive reserves, disproportionate settlements, etc.).
- Legal Collaboration for any scenario that may need expert legal advice/guidance, we will assist in finding proper counsel and work together with them to reach our client’s goal.
- Regulatory Compliance including QAPI compliance, OSHA reporting, HUD RM Assessments, QM Star-rating review and improvements.
